Website analytics is optional.
We use Google Analytics 4 only after you accept analytics, to improve website content and navigation and understand marketing effectiveness. Consent is our lawful basis for analytics cookies and associated personal-data processing. Rejecting or withdrawing does not affect articles, searches, fleet enquiries or any other website function. This choice is separate from app diagnostics and advertising choices.
What we measure
Article searches use an approved vocabulary.
Consented analytics measures page views and article engagement, 90% article scrolls, App Store link clicks and successful fleet enquiries. We record deliberate article searches and tag selections with result counts. Search terms are sent only when the complete normalised phrase exactly matches our reviewed list of public topics or places; everything else is recorded as other. We do not record keystrokes, form contents, vehicle registrations, support case identifiers or activity before consent. Analytics page URLs exclude query strings and fragments, referrers contain only their origin, and campaign attribution uses predefined approved codes. Browser/device details, cookie identifiers, event timestamps and technical request information are also processed by Google. Google receives the IP address needed to handle the request; we do not claim this collection is anonymous.
Storage used
Your choice lasts 90 days; analytics cookies expire after 60 days.
We store only your accepted or rejected choice, notice version and timestamp in local storage. This preference record has no visitor identifier and is used only to honour your choice. Invalid, expired or materially outdated choices require a new choice. If storage is unavailable, analytics stays off. Selecting your existing choice again does not renew it.
Analytics cookies expire 60 days after acceptance, without renewal on later visits, subject to browser limits. Rejecting does not create them; withdrawal removes them. No advertising cookies or Google advertising integrations are enabled. Both analytics cookies are set on drive-zone.app with path /. JavaScript-disabled visits do not load analytics.
Google and international processing
Website hosting does not restrict analytics processing to the EEA.
I Squared R Consulting Ltd is the controller. Google provides Analytics under the applicable Google Ireland Limited terms and Google Ads Data Processing Terms. Google and its subprocessors may process analytics data internationally, including in the United States, using applicable UK transfer safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or contractual safeguards including the UK Addendum. Website hosting in the EEA does not restrict Google Analytics to the EEA.
Analytics retention
Two-month user and event retention is separate from cookie expiry.
The website property is configured for two-month user-level and event-level data retention with reset on new activity disabled. This setting does not limit standard aggregate reports, which may remain available longer. Google signals, advertising personalisation, user-provided data collection and granular location/device collection are disabled. No website data is linked to the app Firebase property or advertising platforms. Reports cover consenting visitors and are not a complete visitor census.
Withdrawal and your rights
Change your choice at any time through Cookies & settings.
Cookies & settings in the footer of every page opens your analytics controls directly. You can also use Change cookie settings near the top of this notice. Choosing Reject analytics stops future collection, removes our analytics cookies and reloads the page to remove the loaded Google tag. It does not automatically delete data Google has already received. Closing settings without choosing leaves your saved choice unchanged.
